T-Shirt and Uniform Printing in UAE — What Businesses Need to Know

Printing methods for T-shirts in UAE. Screen printing is the standard process for quantities above 50 units. It produces the most durable, vibrant result for simple designs (logos, text, up to 6 colours). Digital garment printing (DTG) allows full-colour photographic prints on any quantity — no colour limitation, but the ink sits on top of the fabric rather than bonding with it, so durability is lower than screen printing. Sublimation printing produces the most durable result but only works on polyester fabrics.

Fabric selection. For UAE conditions, fabric choice is critical. 100% cotton is comfortable but absorbs moisture heavily in the UAE summer. Polyester-cotton blends (typically 65% polyester / 35% cotton) are the standard for UAE workwear — they wick moisture, dry faster, and hold screen printing well. Piqué polo shirts in polyester blends are the standard for hospitality and retail uniform applications.

Minimum quantities. Screen printing is typically economical from 24 pieces upwards per colour and design. Below 24 pieces, digital garment printing or sublimation is more cost-effective. Embroidery (for premium polo shirts and formal uniforms) has no practical minimum but is charged per stitch count.

Lead times for uniform printing in UAE. For standard stock garments with screen printing, lead time is typically 7–10 working days. Custom-manufactured garments (cut and sew) require 3–6 weeks. For urgent event requirements, some items can be produced in 3–5 days — discuss your deadline when enquiring.
